Having recently undergone a half-a-million-pound sympathetic renovation and restoration project, The Black Swan Inn, which is Seahouses’ oldest purposes built pub, is now an elegant, trendy and sophisticated gastropub. 

We serve the finest dishes using the highest quality ingredients which we source locally from our fishermen and local butchers. Our food is complemented by an extensive bar drinks menu. 

Understanding that locals and visitors wanted a venue with more refinement, we wanted to change the landscape of dining on the North Northumberland Coast and provide an up-market dining experience that could be enjoyed by all. Not only are we proud of our provenance, we are also thrilled with our team of in-house mixologists who are sure to put on a theatrical show serving our signature and traditional cocktails.

Burns Supper - 24th January 2025

If you’re looking for a Burns Supper with a twist, and a slightly more elegant menu, join us on 24th January from 7pm for a truly elevated Northumberland Burns Supper. This is a sensational evening hosted by the legendary Andy Grant from Northumberland Scottish Pipes & Drums. For £45pp, you get a 3 course Burns Supper complete with haggis, neeps and tatties with a twist, including a pan seared pigeon breast (optional) (veggie option available too). Then a full evening of camaraderie – signing, dancing and speeches all in celebration for the life and works of Robbie Burns.
